In this fast paced world of diversity where something as simple as breast tissue is shared in a multitude of genders and gender expressions, it has become apparent that how we educate ourselves about health and breast cancer prevention must also change! We have decided to throw the gender binary out the window and If you could ever be at risk for breast cancer (which is all of us), then you should join us for brunch and get the most up to date information on how to protect yourself and those that you love from breast cancer.
This is not your usual breast cancer meeting! The DC Center and GW Cancer Institute have partnered together along with our illustrious host Margaret Albamonte to learn more about breast cancer among lesbian, bisexual, and transgender women. We have a fabulous menu that includes mimosa’s and all types of goodies! We will laugh together and cry if we need to! This event will teach you about breast cancer (prevention and detection), but the narrative is more focused on womanhood and storytelling with a twist!
We will have non-alcoholic alternatives for those in recovery, but this lush event is really a chance to kick back and learn what is it is be a woman and the tools we can use to protect that woman from breast cancer.
Masculine women, Feminine Women, Trans Women, Queer Women, Any Type and Any Form you are welcome and beyond that welcome, you are invited and wanted!!!
Please RSVP on the Facebook event page so that we can have enough food and drinks for everyone https://www.facebook.com/events/186170395198665/
We will have some surprises for all that attend, and the person that brings the most women with them will win a 50.00 gift card!!!
